Forest Products / General Agency

Multi Marine Services has been acting as agent for all italiana ports for Gearbulk (one of the biggest players in the forest products carriage) vessels for many years and have developed a high level of experience in catering for every need of carriers involved in this trade. Main skills focused on this job are coordination capability between the vessel and the different ports called during a single voyage as well as independence from cargo interest and protection of owner in every situation that can show up in such a trade.
Genova

The port of Genoa is the biggest Italian port in terms of area (700 hm2 of quays and 500 hm2 of docks, 22 km of berths and drafts between 8 and 15 m), the first (in the country) in terms of number of shipping lines calling and number of containers handled, the most relevant in terms of occupation (over 10.000 workers directly related to the port and over 30.000 for related activities), and second in terms of volumes of cargo handled after Trieste.

Savona

The Port of Savona Vado is in the North-West of Italy, in the most northern portion of the Mediterranean Sea, right in front of the main European markets. Savona Vado, like the close ports of Genoa and La Spezia, is part of Ligurian ports, one of the main port community systems of the Mediterranean Sea and an important commercial channel for Southern European economy. Port operations, carried out by private terminals, cover every portion of maritime transport for goods (containers, general cargo, bulk and liquids) and passengers (ferries and cruises).
Port Restrictions: Max Drafts between 8 and 15 m in commercial port
Naples

The port of Naples is one of the most important European ports, located in the northern part of the Gulf of Naples and its surface extends for kilometers from the city center towards the eastern part. The area covers over 200.000 m2 and it is used for passengers, coastal navigation, shipyards, commercial operations for bulk cargoes, liquids, breakbulk, cruise ships, ships repairs and pleasure yachting for a total of 14 piers.
Port Restrictions: Max Drafts up to 12.50 m in commercial port
Porto Nogaro

The port of Nogaro is divided between the public area of Porto Vecchio and Porto Margreth and the private berth belonging to the former Industrie Chimiche Caffaro, reachable via the artificial channel Banduzzi, approx. 1.5 nm long. Porto Vecchio has a 400 m long quay and has a maximum draft of 4.50 m, while porto Margreth can reach 7.50 m of draft and has a berth over 800 m long. The port area also includes an area of 36 hm2 of storage area, partially covered and railway connected where over 1.50 million tons per year of breakbulk cargoes are handled. The ships calling Porto Nogaro are normally coasters between 3 and 4.000 dwt, with some calls up to 7.000 tonners. Considering the river berth, flat bottomed ships have an easier access to the same.
Port Restrictions: Max Drafts up to 6.00 m in commercial port with positive tide. Navigation is allowed only during daylight hours.
Monfalcone

The port of Monfalcone is located close to the town center and is the most Northern port in the Adriatic sea, in the Mediterranean Sea and in Italy. In the present development phase (the port appears to be in constant evolution) approx. 4.50 million (m)tons of cargoes are handled, including clay, coal, woodpulp, cereals, sawn woods, project cargo, ores, steels and vehicles. The port, specialized in general cargo, has a long time experience in specific cargoes.
Port Restrictions: Max Drafts up to 10.90 m in commercial port with positive tide.
Livorno

The port of Livorno, located in between Ligurian and Tyrrhenian sea, is the main port of Tuscany and one of the most important Italian ports both in terms of passengers traffic and of cargo handling. The port of Livorno can handle any type of cargo, from liquids to dry bulks, from vehicles to refrigerated goods, from foodstuff to project cargo. Besides, it is also specialized in containers since Terminal Darsena Toscana started operating. Also LNG / LPG ships are calling Livorno discharging liquefied gas coming from North Africa and storing the same in artificial tanks dug 100 m below sea level – a very rare type of storage, unique in Italy and second only to the port of Marseille in Europe.
